Life with Paul

Hanging out with Daddy on the front steps

Paul jumped in a barrel.

It was quite funny. He was having a ball. "I'm swimming, Mommy!"

For all the grandparents reading this, if you had been there, you would have laughed too. We're sorry. We could not resist the temptation to take a few pictures. He did receive a serious warning later about the dangers of ever doing that again without us around. I think he gets it.

New big boy bed!

The animals needed to try it out too.

"Goes to the Jungle" Paul style

Here's Lilly the Elephant.

Banana Man

Captain Patch

Paloombo

And, my personal favorite, Mr. Missionary

The only downside to this whole adventure has been Paul waking up at night terrified of being bitten by a worm.

Wiggle Worm Song

And how's this for cute? I heard him singing to himself while playing with his toys, so I asked him for an encore for the camera.

Pictures

Paul the Koala (thank's Meems!)

The power was out for several days. The computer was running by the generator, but we didn't have lights. Interesting situation.

I think the words "hog heaven" most accurately describe this situation.

The Train

Paul got a new train set when Grandmama and Grandpa came to visit. Actually, he got three trains and two tracks. Even with all the new trains, he gets creative trying to see how long a train he can create using his other cars.

He pretty much plays with it every waking moment that he can. Here he is squeezing in a few minutes before we left for church. This was his own track design.

Pilgrim Video

Sorry it's sideways, but I thought you'd like this.

I was happy with the hat.

Paul with one of the (snuggly) Indians

The Pilgrims and Indians were getting along well this Thanksgiving.

Not the greatest picture, but let's play "Spot Aunt Pam."

Paul's Language Development

Lately Paul has taken to yelling as we go under bridges or overpasses or through tunnels. He did it on the way to the zoo with his Spanish-speaking friends who, of course, referred to the bridge by its Spanish name "puente."
So, we're driving to the Bible study Sunday night, and as we passed under a bridge, Paul yelled. Then he said, "That was a fun-tey."
"Yeah. It was a puente, Paul." I said, trying to implement what all the child experts say is the best way to correct an error in juvenile nomenclature.
Paul responded with an enthusiastic, "Good job, Mommy!"

Paul and Matthew

If you wonder if a 2-year-old would really want a trip to a tower to see a city landscape at night, you don't know our 2-year-old.

Trip to Cali

Here are some pictures of the April trip to California. (This is basically all we took. We're pretty much camera-forgetting bums.)
